Die Arbeit Sam's Art, from New York International von Saul Steinberg wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion A Graphic Century - 1875-1975 bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.125,00 (€ 996,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Saul Steinberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Twenty Americans (Twenty Professions) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.400,00 (€ 109.851,79).
