In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Mueum Series: New National Gallery 1968, Berlin, Germany: Ludwig Mies Vander Rohe by Satoshi Watanabe. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 118,750.00 (€ 10,380.92), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Satoshi Watanabe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Museum Series - Le Museé du Louvre in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,447,500.00 (€ 126,537.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mueum Series: New National Gallery 1968, Berlin, Germany: Ludwig Mies Vander Rohe von Satoshi Watanabe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 10.380,92) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Satoshi Watanabe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Museum Series - Le Museé du Louvre im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.447.500,00 (€ 126.537,99).
