Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work The Dining Room (Francis Place) (V), 1997 by Sarah Jones. The price achieved of USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,851.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sarah Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dining Room I-III, which sold at auction in October 2001 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,393.83).

Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dining Room (Francis Place) (V), 1997 von Sarah Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.851,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sarah Jones mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dining Room I-III beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.393,83) versteigert wurde.
