Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Spanish the Seamstress, Sitges by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 85,000.00 (€ 95,655.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish the Seamstress, Sitges von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 85.000,00 (€ 95.655,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14) versteigert wurde.
