It achieved a price of GBP 137,000.00 (€ 178,770.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) sold at auction in June 2007 with the realized price of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).

Die Arbeit Spanish pedres Velles, Raixa (Iv) (The Old Stairs, Raixa) von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 137.000,00 (€ 178.770,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) im Juni 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14).
