Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Campanars : Lumière Du Soir, Gérone by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats was sold in the Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures auction at Christies in Paris in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 30,240.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Campanars : Lumière Du Soir, Gérone von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 30.240,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14).
