Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Spanish el Jardín De La Bailarina, Granada (The Bailarina Garden, Granada) by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,482.76). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Spanish el Jardín De La Bailarina, Granada (The Bailarina Garden, Granada) von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.482,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14) versteigert wurde.
