Auction result well in line with expectations
The work El Jardin del Principe de Aranjuez by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats was sold in the European Art: 19th Century & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 81,254.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 81.254,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00.
