Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish casas Colgantes, Cuenca (The Hanging Houses, Cuenca) by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2011. The price achieved of GBP 85,250.00 (€ 97,483.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Santiago Rusiñol i Prats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 216,000.00 (€ 320,533.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spanish casas Colgantes, Cuenca (The Hanging Houses, Cuenca) von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 85.250,00 (€ 97.483,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Santiago Rusiñol i Prats mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Glorieta de cipreses del Jardín del Príncipe, Aranjuez (The gardens at Aranjuez) beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 216.000,00 (€ 320.533,14) versteigert wurde.
