Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Madonna and Child by Sano di Pietro was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 241,711.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sano di Pietro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).

Die Arbeit The Madonna and Child von Sano di Pietro wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 241.711,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
