Auction result well in line with expectations

In December 2012 Christies in Paris held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Madonna and Child Enthroned by Sano di Pietro. It changed hands for a price of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 356,725.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sano di Pietro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome:  A Portable Triptych, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child Enthroned von Sano di Pietro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 289.250,00 (€ 356.725,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sano di Pietro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome:  A Portable Triptych beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 1.635.000,00 (€ 1.401.028,28) versteigert wurde.
