Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saint Margaret by Sano di Pietro was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 78,832.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sano di Pietro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saint Margaret von Sano di Pietro kam im Juli 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 78.832,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sano di Pietro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.635.000,00 (€ 1.401.028,28).
