In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Madonna And Child With Angels by Sano di Pietro. The »bidding war« ended at USD 230,500.00 (€ 168,064.16), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sano di Pietro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,635,000.00 (€ 1,401,028.28).

Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child With Angels von Sano di Pietro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 230.500,00 (€ 168.064,16) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sano di Pietro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madonna And Child; Saint John The Baptist; Saint Jerome: A Portable Triptych im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.635.000,00 (€ 1.401.028,28).
