Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work On The River, Monterey, Mexico; On The River Blanco, Monterey, Mexico: Two Works On Paper by Samuel Colman for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,396.12). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Colman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Becalmed in the Highlands in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 505,000.00 (€ 343,818.08).

Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On The River, Monterey, Mexico; On The River Blanco, Monterey, Mexico: Two Works On Paper von Samuel Colman für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.396,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
