Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Autumn In The Genesee Valley by Samuel Colman was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,724.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Colman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Becalmed in the Highlands in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 505,000.00 (€ 343,818.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Autumn In The Genesee Valley von Samuel Colman wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.500,00 (€ 27.724,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Colman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Becalmed in the Highlands im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 505.000,00 (€ 343.818,08).
