Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Killers by Sam Samore was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | Milan auction at Sothebys in Milan in February 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sam Samore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tower of Lips in February 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,477.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Killers von Sam Samore wurde im Februar 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | Milan bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Samore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tower of Lips im Februar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 44.477,49).
