Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Schooner Yacht "Susannha" off Boston by Salvatore Colacicco was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in New York in February 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,216.41). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salvatore Colacicco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The American ships Ontario and Liberty both depicted off Naples (one illustrated), which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,100.74).
