Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view of Antwerp by Salvatore Colacicco was sold in the Maritime and Naval Battles auction at Christies in London in November 2000. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 940.00 (€ 1,536.39). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salvatore Colacicco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The American ships Ontario and Liberty both depicted off Naples (one illustrated), which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,100.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A view of Antwerp von Salvatore Colacicco wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion Maritime and Naval Battles bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 940,00 (€ 1.536,39) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Salvatore Colacicco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The American ships Ontario and Liberty both depicted off Naples (one illustrated) beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.100,74) versteigert wurde.
