Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Four Triangles Backed in Red by Sadamasa Motonaga was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. It achieved a price of HKD 60,480.00 (€ 7,505.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sadamasa Motonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 10,300,000.00 (€ 1,215,768.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
