This artwork by Sadamasa Motonaga achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Work sold for HKD 4,788,000.00 (€ 573,894.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sadamasa Motonaga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work, which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 10,300,000.00 (€ 1,215,768.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sadamasa Motonaga erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Work für HKD 4.788.000,00 (€ 573.894,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.400.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sadamasa Motonaga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 10.300.000,00 (€ 1.215.768,70) versteigert wurde.
