Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work First, Green by Sadamasa Motonaga for HKD 3,276.00 (€ 3,345.44). This price was achieved in the auction NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sadamasa Motonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 10,300,000.00 (€ 1,215,768.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit First, Green von Sadamasa Motonaga für HKD 3.276,00 (€ 3.345,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion NO REGRETS: 20th/21st Century Art Online Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sadamasa Motonaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.300.000,00 (€ 1.215.768,70).
