This artwork by Ryozo Kato achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Shanghai in October 2014. In the Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art auction, the work Landscape sold for CNY 325,000.00 (€ 42,434.16) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ryozo Kato; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot San Sui Kyo sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).

In der Auktion Asian and Western 20th Century & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Landscape für CNY 325.000,00 (€ 42.434,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 180.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ryozo Kato; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit San Sui Kyo im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38).
