Auction result well in line with expectations
The work DOUTENSANSUI by Ryozo Kato was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,546.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryozo Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work San Sui Kyo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit DOUTENSANSUI von Ryozo Kato wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.546,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryozo Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit San Sui Kyo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38) versteigert wurde.
