Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tokagen (The Peach Blossom Spring) by Ryozo Kato was auctioned at Christies in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,815.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryozo Kato have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work San Sui Kyo in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tokagen (The Peach Blossom Spring) von Ryozo Kato kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.815,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryozo Kato auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit San Sui Kyo im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38).
