Auction result well in line with expectations
The work San Sui Kyo (The Scenery of the Landscape) by Ryozo Kato was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,916.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 160,000.00 – 260,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryozo Kato - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work San Sui Kyo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit San Sui Kyo (The Scenery of the Landscape) von Ryozo Kato wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.916,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 160.000,00 – 260.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryozo Kato mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit San Sui Kyo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38) versteigert wurde.
