Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ryozo Kato could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, this work without title changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,426.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryozo Kato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work San Sui Kyo in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryozo Kato konnte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.426,34) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryozo Kato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit San Sui Kyo im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38).
