Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ryan McGinness could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work The Little Death changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,369.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryan McGinness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mutual Information in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryan McGinness konnte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wechselte die Arbeit The Little Death für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.369,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan McGinness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mutual Information im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
