Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Plexi-boxed Painting 4, Blue) by Ryan McGinness for USD 953.00 (€ 864.79). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction at Phillips in 17 - and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryan McGinness achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mutual Information in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 54,575.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Plexi-boxed Painting 4, Blue) von Ryan McGinness für USD 953,00 (€ 864,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips in 17 - erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryan McGinness erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mutual Information im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 54.575,22).
