Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ryan McGinley could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open auction, the work Dash Upstate changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,044.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryan McGinley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alex (Giant Explosion) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ryan McGinley konnte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open wechselte die Arbeit Dash Upstate für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.044,96) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan McGinley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alex (Giant Explosion) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98).
