It achieved a price of USD 4,160.00 (€ 3,930.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Ruth Bernhard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Ruth Bernhard' in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).

Die Arbeit Sand Dune von Ruth Bernhard wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 4.160,00 (€ 3.930,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruth Bernhard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Ruth Bernhard' im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68).
