Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Classic Torso by Ruth Bernhard was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,023.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ruth Bernhard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Ruth Bernhard' in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Classic Torso von Ruth Bernhard kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.023,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruth Bernhard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Ruth Bernhard' im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68).
