This artwork by Russell Young achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October last year. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Magnificent Seven sold for USD 13,860.00 (€ 13,952.08) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Russell Young - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mick Jagger + red lips / Reggie Kray, Do You Know My Name, which sold at auction in December 2020 for EUR 43,750.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Russell Young erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Magnificent Seven für USD 13.860,00 (€ 13.952,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Russell Young mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mick Jagger + red lips / Reggie Kray, Do You Know My Name beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für EUR 43.750,00 versteigert wurde.
