Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in London held the auction Pop X Culture, which included the work Marilyn Goddess, 2009 by Russell Young. The price achieved of GBP 4,080.00 (€ 4,753.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. Admittedly, works by Russell Young have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mick Jagger + red lips / Reggie Kray, Do You Know My Name in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 43,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Pop X Culture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marilyn Goddess, 2009 von Russell Young zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.080,00 (€ 4.753,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500,00 – 5.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Russell Young auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mick Jagger + red lips / Reggie Kray, Do You Know My Name im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.750,00.
