Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Indian Ryot by Rudolf Swoboda. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,666.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Swoboda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The carpet menders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,475,381.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian Ryot von Rudolf Swoboda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.666,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Swoboda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The carpet menders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.161.250,00 (€ 1.475.381,20).
