Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Austrian The Sentinel by Rudolf Swoboda. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,351.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Swoboda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The carpet menders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,475,381.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Austrian The Sentinel von Rudolf Swoboda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.351,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Swoboda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The carpet menders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.161.250,00 (€ 1.475.381,20).
