In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work A Mussalman Sepoy In Hh Maharaja Srinagar’S Indian Regiment, 23 Years Old sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,000.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Swoboda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The carpet menders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,475,381.20).
