Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rudolf Swoboda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2016. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Austriana Cairene Courtyard sold for GBP 395,000.00 (€ 504,927.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Swoboda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The carpet menders, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,475,381.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rudolf Swoboda erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit Austriana Cairene Courtyard für GBP 395.000,00 (€ 504.927,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Swoboda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The carpet menders beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 1.161.250,00 (€ 1.475.381,20) versteigert wurde.
