Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Workers at rest by Rudolf Bonnet was sold in the Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2020. The price achieved of HKD 56,875.00 (€ 6,697.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Bonnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Scene in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 25,880,000.00 (€ 3,160,878.62).

Die Arbeit Workers at rest von Rudolf Bonnet wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Ritual + Culture OnlineFine Southeast Asian Arts bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 56.875,00 (€ 6.697,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Bonnet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Market Scene im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 25.880.000,00 (€ 3.160.878,62).
