Sold at the lower estimate price
The work De Schilder Gusti Sugih (The Painter Gusti Sugih) by Rudolf Bonnet was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The result of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,689.02) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Bonnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Scene in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 25,880,000.00 (€ 3,160,878.62).
