Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Illustrations of Geography Terms by Ruan Yuan was auctioned at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in December 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 12,300.00 (€ 10,057.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruan Yuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nine-character Couplet in Running Script in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,350,000.00 (€ 133,877.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Illustrations of Geography Terms von Ruan Yuan kam im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 12.300,00 (€ 10.057,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruan Yuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nine-character Couplet in Running Script im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.350.000,00 (€ 133.877,43).
