The work Calligraphy in Various Scripts by Ruan Yuan was auctioned at Bonhams in September this year. It achieved a price of HKD 8,320.00 (€ 1,003.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ruan Yuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nine-character Couplet in Running Script in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,350,000.00 (€ 133,877.43).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Various Scripts von Ruan Yuan kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 8.320,00 (€ 1.003,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ruan Yuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nine-character Couplet in Running Script im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.350.000,00 (€ 133.877,43).
