This artwork by Ruan Yuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,520.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ruan Yuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nine-character Couplet in Running Script in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,350,000.00 (€ 133,877.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 87 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ruan Yuan erzielte im April 2019 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.520,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruan Yuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nine-character Couplet in Running Script im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.350.000,00 (€ 133.877,43).
