This artwork by Ruan Yuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Running Script sold for HKD 259,600.00 (€ 31,634.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ruan Yuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nine-character Couplet in Running Script in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,350,000.00 (€ 133,877.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ruan Yuan erzielte im November 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script für HKD 259.600,00 (€ 31.634,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ruan Yuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nine-character Couplet in Running Script im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.350.000,00 (€ 133.877,43).
