Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Suburban Street by Rowland Suddaby. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,798.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rowland Suddaby - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Flowers by a Window, which sold at auction in December 2000 for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,989.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suburban Street von Rowland Suddaby zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.798,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Rowland Suddaby mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with Flowers by a Window beobachtet, die im Dezember 2000 für GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.989,65) versteigert wurde.
