Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Landscape at Kedington, Suffolk; Study of a nude woman; A nude woman drying herself; and Boats moored in the harbour by Rowland Suddaby. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 955.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Rowland Suddaby have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Flowers by a Window in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,989.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape at Kedington, Suffolk; Study of a nude woman; A nude woman drying herself; and Boats moored in the harbour von Rowland Suddaby zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 955,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rowland Suddaby auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Flowers by a Window im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.989,65).
