Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work A bleak day; Moorland, West Riding, Yorkshire; Autumn at Cavendish, Suffolk by Rowland Suddaby. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,226.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Rowland Suddaby have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Flowers by a Window in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,989.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bleak day; Moorland, West Riding, Yorkshire; Autumn at Cavendish, Suffolk von Rowland Suddaby zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.226,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rowland Suddaby auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Flowers by a Window im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.989,65).
