Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In the days of sail (illustrated); and Canal scene by Rowland Hilder was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,197.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland Hilder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18).

Die Arbeit In the days of sail (illustrated); and Canal scene von Rowland Hilder kam im Oktober 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.197,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland Hilder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18).
