The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,216.00 (€ 2,035.17), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rowland Hilder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18).

Die Arbeit Come To Britain For Golf von Rowland Hilder wurde im Februar 2024 in der Auktion Vintage Posters bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.216,00 (€ 2.035,17) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rowland Hilder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18).
