In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Eynsford Bridge, Kent by Rowland Hilder. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,336.17), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Rowland Hilder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,465.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eynsford Bridge, Kent von Rowland Hilder zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.336,17) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rowland Hilder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Old Oast Houses at Chiddingstone, Kent im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.465,18).
