This artwork by Rose Wylie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Black Bird with Hawthorn Leaves sold for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,956.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rose Wylie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Strap (Red Fly) in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 220,500.00 (€ 253,639.15).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Rose Wylie erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Black Bird with Hawthorn Leaves für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.956,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rose Wylie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Strap (Red Fly) im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 220.500,00 (€ 253.639,15).
